The Red Moon

The crickets whistled along the creek, the stillness of winter was fading, the birth of spring was upon her. She loved the night. It brought her comfort.

This little village had called to her. She arrived in the frost of winter. Now she was immersed in all the village had to offer.

She even took a job here, the very thought made her giggle inside. It was fabulous being an ordinary person, but she was not ordinary. She was extraordinary. A gift from living so many lifetimes.

Her strength came from keeping her power contained. She was not interested in controlling the universe. She just wanted to keep it safe.

“Batya, what are you doing out here?”

“Aye, all is well, Lily come see, the beauty of the red moon.”

“So magical”

“They say the deep red appears at the loss of an Angel or from a deep cut in the universe.”

“I think it is opening after an awakening, like a flower opening for the morning sun.”

“Awe Lily that is beautiful. We should probably get inside, we have lots of dreaming to do. We have to get you caught up on your past lives.”

“Who knew sleeping could be so exhausting.”
