Justice

Justice is something you will never find in life. Stop looking for it. You will destroy yourself hunting for all wrongs to be righted and for those to get what they have coming to them.
My mother cried for justice. She wanted him to suffer the way she had. When he fell before her in great agony, you would think she would be happy. She wasn’t, her tears streamed down her cheeks, momma realized he didn’t handle suffering as well as she did.
When he finally passed it did not bring her peace. Mother said a form of justice lives on the other side. Justice is gained in the transition. A place where you can truly see all your doings. In this transition you work to become a better version of yourself. You map out your next life.
Mother believes souls traveled together from one life to the next. She didn’t know what universe we would end up on or who we would be. You might end up being the family dog, so be nice to the dog!
I wondered if I could come back as the wind. I watched her from the porch. She blew through the trees and tickled the tall grass. The wind was sweet today, but on the prairie she could be a moody bitch, she could be tomorrow’s tornado.
I find life quite exhausting. I don’t want to come back again. I guess that means I have to be a perfect person in this life time, wish me luck, it was time to feed those chickens.
