The Sparkle of Peace
Written by: Collette Cottingham
You can feel alone even in a city. The cold cuts right through to your inner core. This cold reminds me I am not alone. The cold can take a stinging bite out of you. It likes to add torment to the soul.
I am alone. In a frosty city. As the frost dances through the air, music plays from each street corner. I smile. I love being alone. I am filled with a divine peace. My soul is at ease.
This is the season of kindness, music, singing, dancing on ice, and hot cocoa. Winter decorates the landscape with sparkles, winter whiteness and greenery. We have ribbon and bows. The energy moving through the air fills my heart with joy.
As the cold takes another bite I envision myself curled up at home with a snuggly blanket and a warm cup of tea. The mystery of life is put on the back burner. Today I will enjoy the sparkling peace of this season.
