Inspiration Challenge – Choosing Sides

In This Week's Challenge, Today's Feed

Writer,

Writing is a joyous experience. That raw energy is what people are seeking when they read. It’s escape. It’s inspiration. We provide a bridge with our words and stories for the world to feel that deep connection with the joyous human experience.

It is not, however, always a fairy tale or a feel good experience at face value. The connection to the joyous human experience is often the simple transformation that occurs inside the reader, causing them to learn, feel, and act.

It goes without saying that as writers, we are poised on the front line in each of our readers’ hearts, and we have the power to help them to make that human decision:

What side are you on? Do you choose the beauty of life, or do you choose to fall into destruction?

This week, it is important to be consciously inspired by something you see in the media, choose a single feeling or point you want to illustrate, and NOT write about it directly. Weave the deep connection to the joyous human experience into your story.

Show, don’t tell.

Let the reader feel their own connections where they do. Help them choose the side of life that we all wish for. We do share it all – the beauty and the destruction. It goes without saying the weight of destruction is tipping the experiential scales.

Be there. Choose a side. Be the bridge.

Lend your pen.

Fact, fiction, poetry or prose.

Write ON
