Inspiration Challenge – Write Thyself
Our work as writers is to translate the world through our own experience, and then express it with words that slide the exquisite beauty of life into the heart of a reader, without a trace.
To the reader, it is their own interpretation of our work, and thus their owned experience.
But at the end of each sentence, we are undeniably, both-feet there. Our lives are not separate from our work and we are in every word, every story – somewhere. We’re that Starbuck’s coffee cup in the background of a renaissance film. It’s still us.
This week, write one of your quirks or habits or personal thoughts or favourite foods into your piece – anything that you identify as “totally you.”
Fact, fiction, poetry or prose.
